![]() ![]() Simply increases your melee damage by 40%. This replaces some moves and counter attacks with some hilarious drunk-like attacks (sort of like the Jackie Chan movie, Drunken Master). When you activate your Face Meter, Wei changes his fighting style to a Drunken Warrior. These outfits increase your grappling damage and gives you the Flying Punch move, which replaces your heavy attack. The heavy attack is guaranteed to knock enemies down, plus surrounding enemies that get hit with your stick. Gives you 50% more melee damage and special finishing moves with a magical Monkey Stick (with the 3x or 4x heavy finishing attack). Gives you an additional bonus to Triad experience and Face experience (good for early Triad exp leveling), and some damage resistance (no exact number specified). Gives you the ability to slow down time to perform counters easier (like the Wing Chun Master). The outfit also slows down time when an enemy attacks, making counters easier to perform. The attack easily breaks defense of your opponent, even if they are guarding. The following outfits (not in order) are:Īllows you to perform a special Wing Chun ‘chain punch’ move after a 4x X combo. Do be aware that some outfits will cost an arm and a leg, so they are most likely to be purchased at a later point in the game. I'm aware this is not a problem everyone has, I'm just offering my two cents. These outfits can be purchased from the Legendary Outfit store at the Night Market. ![]() For me, this places an incentive on rushing through the main story without doing the side quests, so I can get access to the shiny toys. The advantages the DLCs gave me made it far more likely on my second play-through that I would have gotten max Triad experience, which is part of the reason why I was a little upset they were not immediately available in the Definitive Edition.Īlso, according to what I have read, most of the cars are not available until after the main story is finished. I know this would have helped me.Īs a side note, I don't personally feel that having the DLC ruined the game experience, but I did finish the game the first time without managing to get max Triad experience, which really annoyed me. It could be a simple as short video talking about how the DLC is integrated into the story for smoother transitions, or a paragraph in the description. ![]() Since I'm aware that the integration of the DLC isn't likely to change (business reasons, mostly), I'd suggest making it clear to potential buyers. I don't understand why DLC doesn't work the same way it did in the original, and why there is no warning or really any indication at all that it might work differently. Anyone buying the game for access to the DLC (as I was) is in for a rude surprise.ĭon't violate your customer's expectations. Nothing in the description on the Store Page talks about the change in access to the DLC. ![]() Since I bought the Definitve Edition specifically for the extra DLC, discovering that none of it was available right up front (as it was in the original game) was shocking and very disappointing. I've only just started, but several outfits that would be immediately available had I bought the DLC for the original are only available from a vendor for $350k. In some cases, quite a lot of in-game cash. In the Definitive Edition, you have to buy these shiny toys with in-game cash. Clothes and vehicles magically appeared in your wardrobe & garage (respectively). See, in the original Sleeping Dogs, when you finished the mission with Ming (essentially, when you get acces to the open world), you got access to the DLC. I own the original Sleeping Dogs, with several DLC (most notably various costume packs), so when I saw the Definitive Edition included the DLC I was missing for a sweet price, I was in. ![]()
